It is a single wall construction. Double wall pipes and mufflers are insulated by an air cushion that disperses heat, a single wall is a heat soak. Heat and cheap chrome = crusty, brown, yellow, blue, purple, or rusted out pipes, quickly. Stock muffler is junk too.
